Pearl Fees are also feather sexable, which means that you don’t have to wait for chicks to reach maturity to identify their gender. At 3 weeks old, females will have spotted chests, males will have solid chests. That means you can separate extra males before they reach maturity and prevent aggression.
Note: Pearl Fees "hatch true" 50% of the time, so you'll get other varieties in your hatch - see below for details!
