Feather-sexable quail are great for beginning quail keepers because you don't have to wait for chicks to reach full maturity (6-8+ weeks) to identify their gender.
You can EASILY visually identify the males and females at three weeks old (females have spotted chests, males have solid chests). That means you can select your breeding groups and separate your extra males before they reach maturity, which can prevent/decrease aggression and make flock management easier.
