About the Golds

Our Coturnix Golds come from Golden Manchurian males bred with Italian females. The result is a larger bird with a more vibrant color. Our Golds are good, consistent layers – see stats below. These quail are also feather-sexable, which means that at three weeks old, females have spotted chests and males have solid-colored chests. This allows you to separate out extra males before they reach maturity, which will prevent incidents of aggression!

• Hatches true: 98% of the time. You may get Autumn Amber, but typically 70% will be Italian, 30% will be Golden Manchurian.

Your eggs come from an NPIP certified (#31-1243) flock and are shipped the same day they are laid. We pack them in foam to ensure they arrive intact. We guarantee a 50% hatch rate!
